Red-Eye, then shut-eye

Oooooooowwwweeeeeee I just landed from the trip to Oregon ... that started in Rochester. I had plenty of fun and met some cool people ... Even have some pics to post later ... and by later I mean probably Sunday eve. Teeheehee. Right now I'm fully tuckered out lol! I have a big day tomorrow ... we are shooting a commercial and I have to get up early and be on set by 6:30AM! I'm totally prepped for that thanks to a military background, but to make sure I'm well rested from a week on the road with 12+ hour days, I'm taking a full day of "west and wewaxation" as Elmer Fudd would say teeheehee ... ok ... I'm about to catch some sleep, but did want to send a special thanks to Erinn in Rochester :-). She's the daughter of one the guys we worked with at a factory there and at lunch she surprised the whole crew with ice cream from her job. Complete with caramel and chocolate sauce ... all kinds of nuts and toppings too. It was sweet(pun) and right on time, considering we'd spent the first half of the day in 100+ degree temps within the factory! Thanks Erinn!! And Santi as well for the old world Italian cooking stories ... We all felt like family and we truly appreciated your hospitality. Truly.
Okay y'all I'm nervous about the commercial shoot tomorrow! A good kind of nervous.

Hey Sunny!
I posted a comment on another one of your blogs (the one about SC)but I don't see it there. I wonder if it got lost on cyberspace....
Anyway, I just read your blog from today and I see that you will be shooting your commercial tomorrow. My daughter will be playing you as a little girl...so we might meet! Well, I hope it goes well for you and make sure to rest up for tomorrow, don't worry you'll do fine!

That's right get 'em Sunny. Nothing but happy comments here. As the now freed R.Kelly would say - we're happy people! Sorry, I'm from Chicago and I defended the guy from day 1. Hometown advantage of course.

I haven't watched a thing this weekend. But, I have your stuff set to auto record on my DVR so no worries. I'll meet you in tv land real soon.

Get your rest. You'll need it. Nothing but bigger things coming your way.

PS - I'd sooo love it if you commented on my current post (when you have a chance). I'm hosting a book club meeting and I've listed some suggestions from three categories. I'm torn and boy would I love to have your advice. Pretty please? Once you've gotten some rest of course.

Sunny, I love your show!!! I discovered you a few weeks ago flipping the channel to see what is on TV but your positive energy pulled me in to watch you and see what you are about. Well, I must say for a sistah who does not do too much cooking unless it is for special occasions or if I am in the mood. You have motivated me to try a few dishes and I have to say they were soooo good and I couldn't believe it was as easy as you made it look on TV. My fiance also did the dishes voluntarly after dinner so I scored big points. So I wanted to tell you
thank you for making cooking easy, fun, real, and delicious. I wish you continued success much love, peace, happiness, and joy!

Your #1 FAN,

Um, aprilshowers CAN'T be your #1 fan. I am. In the words of the BK girl getting ready to bust down and in my best BK accent, "Don't make me cut her!" LOL

I saw the second episode of how'd that get on my plate yesterday. I'm digging the show - it's a little Alton Brown-esque, but I'm diggin it. Who knew the difference between raw milk and the stuff we drink? I certainly had no idea.

Sunny Anderson said...

dtdub, u r crazy .. aprilshowers, nevermind him ... he's just kiddin' about the cuttin' teeheehee ... yeah, the show is lots of info which is what alton is known for, hopefully we get a place where it has equal amounts of information as it does fun. it's so new in taping we haven't yet figured out what reeeeally works, we re just enjoying getting the info out at this point! glad you liked the milk show, i'm headed in to record the strawberry voice-over now ... 1.5 hours of talking to narrate a 30 minute show!

Got milk?? liked the show last night...funny I was half alseep on the couch and woke up to your voice..I'm like "hey is Sunny in my apartment?, did you bring the cookies?"

Heading to Santa Barbara this weekend for a little road trip with my cousin. She is a huge fan of the movie "Sideways". NFNS is almost over...wondering who got it. I liked Aaron from day one, so hopefully he gets it. Take care Sunny, have a sweet week!

Chaka Khan. Gladys Knight, Donna Summer and now you. I can only have a crush on so many women.....now you come along, great cook, great personality, well spoken and you still are a hottie in a bee veil or hairnet milking cows....Dang! Thought I saw all the talent in Vegas. You'd even be hot as an Elvis flippin' johnnie cakes. If you ever get stranded by your accounting department in Las Vegas, I gotcha covered. You got a place to stay but I can hook you up with the best major domo/butler in the Bellagio if accounting wants to loosen up their wallet. Dave knows Vegas.

Sunny Anderson said...

dave, teeheehee ... what company to be in! thanks for the compliment and for watching!! only been to vegas once and it was not fun, idiot i was with there acted like he'd show me around and then had no resources, such a stunter lol ... i bet you've got vegas on lock! keep in touch, ya never know when i'll be in the area! again, thanks for watching!!
