Under the Weather ...

Hey All! I'm sick :-( ....

I got a scratchy throat on Friday and headed out that night for Indiana and a popcorn festival, I think the flight sealed the deal. I have the sniffly, sneezin, coughing thing. Could barely talk yesterday so I had to cancel interviews and meetings, I hate doing that. Then I knew I had work today and that would've been hard to cancel, so I did my best to not tear my nose cartilage up with tissues yesterday. Then at o'dark30 this morning, I pulled myself together and went into the city for a Share Our Strength promotional taping. That's why although I'm blowing my nose in the pic, my eye makeup is poppin' (thanks to clark). Tomorrow I have a full day of taping with Guy Fieri and Bobby Flay. I'm gonna cocoon myself in the blanket and hope for a clear head in the morning. I just wanted to check in and tell ya, I haven't forgotten about bloggin', just really sick feelin' :-) ... The blogs are piling up and hope you don't mind old pics and old stories when they do come up. Any questions you want answered by the graphic designer or prop designer on Cooking for Real, get them in ... I'll be chatting with them this week and will post their tips n stuff later, like maybe next week or so. Until then, Nyquil, Actifed and Sudafed PE wishes!

Puffs with Lotion.

Much easier on the nose.

Oh, and Airborne before the flight next time. Yeah, yeah, hindsight is 20/20.

Awwww...:( You still look pretty even though you're sick! Mad props to Clark, for real. Get that Puffs with the lotion. Your nose won't even suffer (much) if you have those. And o'dark 30...LMAO...can I take that? Can I use that?

OK, as far as questions for graphic design or prop people...idk... how about wardrobe people? Do you wear your own clothes when you shoot? And who chooses the outfit?

t2ed, i used to be an airborne person, then saw the recent press about it's efficacy and decided it was mind over matter with it, but now i'm feeling wack ... even if it's a empty dissolving pill, i need to take it for my brain to mind over matter it lol! thanks and welcome to the blog! i'm currently watching tv thinkin about soup ...

nik snacks, puffs it is then, great minds think alike. here i am feelin all green with my "seventh generation" tissue, but it's hard as a rock! so i moved on to toilet paper, but you know ... i'ma get me some puffs today by way of my dude on the way home from work. gonna text "puffs with lotion, nuff said" see if he gets the hint. lol. and about my clothes, for cfr, i have a stylist ... wow, that is a good story too, will post about it. me and her go waaaay back. and for plate, i had one too, then there are things like today where i did a promo shoot and they tell me they have no budget for it, so i just wear my own clothes and hope no one minds i'm a dress down type of chick. kinda sux cuz you feel like you can't wear it again cuz ppl judge, but if suze orman can wear the same earrings for years to be frugal, i can handle some repeat outfits ... i'll do a stylist blog on the next run of shows in december, good idea. she has tricks n stuff i use now that i know other regular sized chicks would love :-)

Hope you're feel better. This is the time of year when all kinds of nasties start popping up. The weather is all whackey and people are sneezing, coughing, and just being little germ engines.

Take care of yourself (and don't shake hands!)

:-)

Holy crap!! You are like the...uh, I lost track of how many people that are going through the same thing. It's that time of year again. Great time to dig out that special chicken soup recipe, just trying to look on the bright side.

They always start out the same way, sore throat that hangs around til it wants to leave then when it does, everyone else moves in. NyQuil and Sudafed, WOW that takes me back...to the times I used those for colds, of course. GREAT COMBO, taking those you can go sleep in a book shelf and be just fine.

Get well soon.

Regular sized chicks - I LOVE THAT! YES! Regular sized people. So, I don't have questions cuz it's one of those "you don't know what you don't know" type of situtaions. I'm looking forward to hearing what info you share with us - then I'm sure I'll have questions...It'll probably be too late - but yea.

I love being sick. I get to eat chicken soup. But I typically leave out the noodles add cream and white wine, reduce, and put puff pastry or dough on top with an egg wash and bake until golden brown - lol. That's why it takes me FOREVER to get well - lol. Get better soon and get rid of that 7th generation tissue - lol.

First of all, Sunny - get better, and soon! Nyquil works wonders and Sudafed Severe Cold SE. I always joke that Nyquil is like the windex from My Big Fat Greek Wedding - an ounce of prevention, right? *LOL* Nik's spot on with the Puffs *LOL* :)

*Ears perk up* Did someone say Stylist Blog AND Bobby Flay?? Do tell?? I'll stop my incessent whining for "what's in the kitchen set up" as I'm attempting to channel my inner Suze Orman and chill on the shopping. I give it a week *LOL* Somehow Williams Sonoma just beckons and I'm a goner.

Wow, ya missed me? I've been busy working on another blog, making President of the honor fraternity on campus(the one for the non-traditional students), helping a friend with his campaign for a local office, got a big project from an independent contracting outfit....,yeah, it's been crazy. I did catch your last show with the mac&cheese...I almost got misty. And doughnuts for dinner??? That RULES! I'm going to do my best Darius right now and say that if ya miss me so much, then ya need to stop by my blog sometime. Darius makes time for me, so nyah, nyah.

Drink lots of fluids and get well soon!

Hey Sunny!

Just wanted to share that Kabrina had an audition on Wednesday and it was in the Food Network building!...I think...lol! I was like wouldn't it be funny if we ran into Sunny, but now I see that you were too sick to be there that day... :(
Anyway, now I see why the billboard was up in the area that it was ;)
Take care of yourself and I hope you're feeling better today!

Hey Sunny! Hope you feel better! Love your recipes, as a matter of fact I used to make the recipes you used to post on the radio station's website a few years back. You had an EASY slamming recipe for Lazy candied yams that I lost when my pc crashed :-( Can you PLEASE hook a sista up with the recipe again?
