Drink break!

Hey there! I'm still working in my kitchens today on the new menus for season 10 of Cooking for Real. The newest season is airing now, with a new episode this Sunday at 11AM! I'll drink to that!!
It's cola, lychee, grenadine and a bit of lychee syrup. It's super sweet and fizzy!! I'm taking a bit of a break between recipes. I finalized 3 or so menus yesterday and a couple of people asked in comments who eats all the food? Well, when I test in the Food Network kitchens usually my culinary staff and I, plus I put out the leftovers out on the community counter for the team lunch. Every one cooking in the huge kitchen that day provides something and together it makes for a pretty nice buffet with people standing and chatting up each other's offerings. That's what happens there, but at home all I do is invite over a few key bellies and it's over. Reminds me of a Seinfeld episode when Elaine had a good/bad idea to open a muffin-top shop, only to find out it was hard to get rid of the bottoms, not even a charity would take them. Who wants bottoms? Anyway, they just kept piling and stacking up the whole episode until she called in ... The Cleaner ...

Play Rihanna's "Cheers" while I take one back. Yay for new episodes! I got your DM, but Twitter won't let you respond via DM unless that person's also following you. It's so great to catch you on-air doing your thing. I grew up in NJ, so I heard you on the radio all the time. It's always inspiring to catch you on the tube doing this food thing, especially for people like me who are trying to make a way. So inspiring! Yay for you for featuring Darius too. He seems like a fun, hard working guy. Cheers!

Hahaha!!! I love that clip! And I have to say, I'd be your "cleaner" any day! I'm sure it would be a delicious job :-) I'm making your TV dinner menu next week for dinner - hubby and I can't wait to reminisce about those TV dinner days of our childhoods!

Hehehe I LOVE that episode :-) it's the one where Seinfeld shaves his chest too...so funny.

That drink looks great, very sweet but good.

I gotta get a job at that test kitchen... preferably an easy one that allows lots of time at that buffet!

I love watching your show and have been trying some of your recipes. The tater and asparagus toss has been a BIG hit. And I butterflied my first chicken with your guidance.

Where the heck do you score lychee?

That's not an ingredient I even remember stumbling across in the international store where I score my obscure stuff for tv recipes.

I can't wait to see Sunday's show on the big screen :)

And it would be soooo fun to work in that test kitchen.
