I'm Gettin' Testy!

Hey there! I'm spending my week recipe testing for the next season of Cooking for Real. Yep, there you go giving my dream again :-) -- can't say thanks enough for your viewership and even more for sharing 30 minutes with me here and there. Now the show is on twice a day during the week, 1130am and 4pm, plus Sundays at 11am. I start taping again next month, so I'm putting the finishing touches on the menus. There are plenty of themes for Halloween and other holidays including some picnic fare. Can't wait for you to get these new recipes! Here are some pics from today and then I'm back to the burners!!I have two fridges and they are both stacked. Here's just two levels of the smaller one ...
This is a casserole of some type *wink wink* waiting for a run in the oven and these below are some ribs of a certain flavor :-) getting a dry marinade before a slow and low ride in the oven ...
Luckily, I've invested in another oven, so I'm double timing. Now if I could just buy another me to double time on the recipes teeheehee. Ok, happy cooking, for real! :-)

Oh wow! I can't wait to hear about the new recipes! I spy some type of Macaroni! And those Ribs have me soooooo curious! That looks like Panko on top of the casserole - you've got me wondering what's inside! :)f

If you can, visualize me sitting at the dinner table with fork and knife in hand waiting for everything to get done. Man, I'd love to be there.:) So happy for your success Sweetheart and HAPPY B'DAY on the 9th. Mine is on the 20th...we're kindred spirits you and I. :) Love you much and I know even greater things are just around the corner.

jen, girrrrrrl the guys last night all texted me this morning saying they slept like babies and they loved the food, so i'm on the right track :-). i really like cooking for others. sounds stupid to say here like, duh, but i really do. totally not a job! i was up until 1am frying chicken!!

linda, u r too funny!! i totally see you with a utensil in each fist pounding the table! teeheehee. thanks for the well wishes! i'm gonna be in me late 30s now!! lol you thing i can "round down" ??

brian, thanks! here's hoping we can bring more people back for the next season, it all depends on schedules. it's hard for people to take 2 days off of work to come work with me. so far, everyone has cool bosses ... we'll see next season!

aly, girl when i do my book, i'm gonna have you test my recipes! need a cook in heels to prove to the fancy ladies that they can still cook, for real :-)
