Hop, Skip and Jump ...

That's where I am from Gilroy, CA ... a hop, skip and a jump. This morning the crew all got up early ... me late (set my phone alarm and uhhhh, also decided I didn't want to answer the phone lastnight, so I set it to silent ... so in the morning, I heard nothin' lol ... I'm not always the smartest lol) Anyway, we hopped a quick flight to Portland, OR and boy did I have a great first day! I took pics and all, but now my phone is having a hard time sending all the pics I took today to my email acct ... I have such a nice story of foodies in the streets of Portland I can't wait to tell with some flicks, but in the meantime ... here's what I still smell like ... and I love it.

Roasted Garlic!!! This goes mostly to food service (restaurants and stuff)... so chances are you haven't seen it in stores, but there is a smaller size they service to a very limited amount of grocery chains. So, I guess in some cases the chef didn't roast those cloves on location, huh? I'm not mad. Just gimme the garlic!!

Lucky you! I love roasted garlic. I've just really started roasting my own at home. You know - I'll cut off the top a bit, dab a bit of olive oil, and wrap in foil - yup, it's good.

I don't think I know of one person who didn't do what you did with your phone...and I worked the business for over 7 years, so I should know.

Another great thing about the Pacific North west, no excuses for not being able to find the freshest and best seafood. You keep takin' those flights to Portland and you may just find yourself no longer being a southern girl, that part of the world can be hard to resist. Again, I should know.

Sunny you are my favorite new food network personality since Paula Deen. It took me months to start watching the show because I didn't think I'd like How'd That Get on My Plate. Yet, Now!!! I can't get enough. I am sure that there are scripts involved but as your are onsite and even when you narrate, it pulls me in and makes me as interested and informed as you seem to be as well. You keep it up GIRL!!!
