"Week or so" ... Shmeek or so

Well, here we go earlier than I promised this morning. I was on the way to run some errands when I got this ... so, I got my biz handled and then uploaded this so you can check it out if you missed it or don't have her show in your market yet. :-) ... Thanks Wendy! (check my tan courtesy of farm work over the last coupla months!)

Y'all were so cute! You rocked it, girl! I'm so glad you posted this clip. We don't have her show in my network area in NC. I like how she slipped in personal FAQs Wendy Williams-style!

I love the way you cook. I am living in Boston after a long stint in California. If you can, Help me make fish and chips. We eat a lot of it living here.

Thanks for posting...you were absolutely great! For real - you hit every nail on the head - lol!

Um, so, I made your fish tacos. Well, not your fish tacos per se, but a variation. It's up on my food blog - www.everydaycookin.blogspot.com - or pics are on my regular blog.

jay, i know right? she's totally over the top and it's totally ok ... i'm so happy for her success in the business, she's one of the workers.

nikki, i had fun and i'm pretty sure she is getting picked up so look for the local press about it!

denise, thanks and congrats on the move! boston is some good eating. try clio, of course legal's and i love upstairs on the square across the water in cambridge ... i think i'm gonna do a fish and chips show very soon, but my cerveza battered fish tacos recipe is perfect for the texture you want, check it out on foodnetwork.com

dtdub, i had fun and knew there would be some sneak attack questions, but i also knew how professional she is so i wasn't too worried ... things only go bad when the interviewee takes it there. i'm checkin your blog today ...

Yes Sunny, you answered every question thoroughly, even the ones that peeked into your personal life, and kept up with the pace easily. I really enjoyed the segment, and the dynamic between you two, it reminded me of two old girlfriends having a gnoche of girly conversation, over a meal. Those wings looked delicious, and the avocado salad looked so light and refreshing. I am going to try that.

gemma, thanks!! i was nervous and then i wasn't, i think i was just amped to meet her. i really have admired her communications power in this and other markets. she is one of the few personalities in radio that can carry a station. and if she were down a friend, i'd put in an app :-) she seems like a person that will stand by you and be great fun to know, i gather that's why she is successful with communicating. i really look up to her and her career. so happy for her and i don't even know her, ya know? hope ya like the wings and salad!

I can say that when one hears "Wendy Williams", the publicist in me went "Oh lawd - please let it go well!!!". You handled that interview fabulously - just as we've come to expect. Congrats!!!

lys, teeheehee ... look, i'm sure that's exactly what the fn pr ppl said, but they also knew i had some radio experience and i'm familiar with wendy's style ... so i was ready and i actually appreciate that they let me do it, cuz someone coulda stopped it i'm sure lol ...

anaylli, thanks! it was fun and i was just happy to finally meet a person i looked up to in the radio biz, that actually lived up to the hype. she was great and she just got picked up for a real run, so i think next spring is the nationwide launch!

LOOOOOVE that Fried Chicken Episode

I'm gonna need a membership at the gym-I'm getting too fat!

Sunny Anderson said...

rayinHoustonTX, thanks! the pr dept tells me it's the highest hits on foodnetwork.com out of all my shows for the recipe ... really makes me feel good, cuz it's what people always ask me to make when they come over and now others can take the recipe and make it their own! too neat! and don't spend gym money, just drink water and walk your block :-)...
