See FN Dish pay a visit to my set ...

So, back when I was taping the most recent 13 episodes of Cooking For Real, newly-minted host of FN Dish Bruce Seidel came by to chat and take a tour of the set. The video is up now on the FN Dish blog. Zoom by and take an inside look at my set and stuff as we chat about places for bacon and recipes passed down. I'm feeling another Slo Mo Slide Sho coming on soon ... stick around!

New episodes begin the first Saturday of the New Year at noon!

That's so cool.
I like when places let the viewers see the behind the scenes stuff.
:D

mise en place, same here ... i am such an info junkie on things i really like. i could totally win on cash cab! i know too much of nuthin'! glad you like the behind the scenes stuff, i forgot the behind the scene cameras were there at the holiday extravaganza shoot, so that was neat. i always hear people on reality tv say they forget the cameras are there and i never believed them, now i do! :-)

Can't wait to see the new stuff. I can only do so much with that black bean puree' and a few others.

Security issues, ay? Glad that got ironed out. Seems like everyone has had their share of blog silence lately including me. Finals, my buisness and my work with Habitat for Humanity has had me bogged down. I belive now I'll be shinin' til next month.

Ms. Sunny -- Thanks for all the updates and dish (no pun intended). Cheers, also, for answering my question last month about what happens to all of that food FN cooks when they're done shooting.

Also, gotta tell you I tried your Thanksgiving leftover recipe about fried stuffing nuggets and it rocked. Fried stuffing! All it needed was some icing, maybe a little whipped cream.

Cheers,
Turtle

p.s. I noticed a commenter in an earlier blog posting included a link for car insurance. Watch out for that kind of spammer as your blog becomes more popular.

Hey Sunny, I caught today's episode with the seared chicken with apple gravy. It looks really tasty. During the process you mentioned apple cider and how you use it often. At that point, it dawned on me that your fried chicken recipe that I tried this summer should have been brined with apple cider instead of the apple cider vinegar that I used. It was still delicious but as you can imagine had a zing to it. I had to share my discovery of the error.

Love the show,

shonda, teeheehee ... kitchen mistakes happen. thanks so much for watching and trying the recipes. glad it was still edible. yeah, cider is where it's at with a brine. brining is an ever changing formula though, so have fun with it and forgive yourself when you make a mistake. thanks for the story!
