Hey Sunny,
Didn't DVR but caught your segment from Dr. Oz's site and you are just adorable...really meant for the screen. I'm so proud of you; that chicken is soooo do-able. Take care.

Love,
Linda(B'Ham)

linda, yaaay! glad you caught it! dr oz was so nice and his staff was very cool. hope i get to go back, but honestly this first time was a big surprise. his team actually found that many of my recipes are healthy, so i may return. i don't always cook with health in mind(obviously, teeheehee), i mean it's not like i ignore health, but you know what i mean. so we'll see. i like opportunities like that. it allows me to catch the non-food network viewer and invite them into our food world. when i say "our" i mean you, me, my coworkers, every one that watches. i'm a recruiter! lol

Sunny,

I had pollo tropical before, they are very good. Probably more healthy than Popeyes, lol. But when will we ever turn down some good fried chicken? So how was the Celebrity cookoff in Chicago? I just saw a clip showing a picture of Aaron Sanchez back in the day, he was kinda hot Girl..lol. I love when his latin accent comes out when he pronounces Spanish foods. I didn't even know who he was until I watched your episode of Chefs Vs City. I am right there with you on accents, it just makes the world more interesting if you ask me. I have a question about cooking rice because yours come out perfectly every time on the show. What is the secret if I wanna rinse it and toast it, toasting doesnt work too well for me when the rice is wet from rinsing. I luv your yummy drummy episode it was fab. Hope you are having a great weekend.

kase, yeah, grilled is better than fried, but we are talkin popeye's here ... nothing can trump that. ita about aaron, he is hot. his wife is sooooooo sweeet and cool too, cute couple. i always rinse then toast my rice, i shake it good, and let the heat of the pan dry the rice, then i add oil and any other flavors and stir to coat. toast like this until the rice starts to smell nutty, almost like pop corn, then add water so it only covers the rice by about 1/4" and raise to a boil, lower and simmer for 15mins, then remove from heat and let sit for 5 mins. perfect every time. hope this helps.

ken, you are craaazy! i breezed through detroit! had so much fun at lucky's and elysium, then had to head to the east side for some food! miss it already!

eric, :-) thanks eric.
