My Jovi-al weekend! (BON JOVI!!!)

Ok, I had two choices this weekend ... actually 3. Sleep all day, Go to a concert called Rock the Bells here in NYC or head out to the Hamptons with my girl Lisa Evers, a friend and reporter for Fox 5 here in NYC. I chose the latter and later the music buff in me that was missing Snoop Dogg perform his entire first album from front to back, was HANDSOMELY REWARDED!!!
OMG! Isn't he handsome!?! And he was so nice in person. Yes, I am never too cool to get really excited about something like this meeting. We were all in South Hampton at a private dinner hosted by Jason Binn and special guest Dwyane Wade at Madame Tong's. We left shortly after this picture even though people were being seated for dinner because we'd already dined on B. Smiths' place in Sag Harbor and started the day at the closing for the Mercedes-Benz Polo Challenge at the Bridgehampton Polo Club. Here we are hours away from meeting Jon Bon Jovi :-) The weather was perfect and I'm happy I chose to hang with my girl Lisa! We keep in touch, but would you believe we haven't seen each other in years?? Two busy gals in the city ... Ok, I'm back to work today taping new episodes of Cooking for Real. I'll check in with some behind the scenes stuff later if I'm not zonked! Happy Monday!!!

Last time I saw that guy was during the 86-87 "Slippery When Wet" tour as it hit Little Rock at Barton Colleseum. Sold out and crazy.

I can't remember a thing that happened that night...pretty much sums up the 80's for me.

This is going to sound so random and probably dorky but are you ever just down right grateful for your joy and aptitude for cooking? Of all domestic hobbies to have, I am so happy cooking is my forte…when it comes to sewing, fix-it projects, etc. FORGET IT! But when it comes to cooking…watch out! I had friends over last night and I take so much pleasure in being able to whip up yummy dishes and seeing my company take delight in them. Corny, but makes me glad that cooking’s my “thang”. For dessert, I served up the last of the baklava cups that I had stashed in the freezer and boy were they a hit. That recipe’s a keeper!

Hi Sunny! I'm a fan! Just saw you yesterday with Lester on the Today Show weekend and am so glad that you posted the recipe for your delicious red velvet brownies! Yum! Anyway, so jealous of this picture with you and Bon Jovi! Holy cow, I love him! We were supposed to go see him this past July in Chicago but had to cancel. Then he just announced a free concert for the Gulf Coast oil spill here on the Gulf Coast this Oct. but we'll be out of town! Talk about bad luck...Well enough about me and my crush! So excited to have stumbled across your blog! I'll be reading more. Swing by and say hi if you can!
