Sweet Obsessions ...

Hey there! Well, I confess ... I was away for a few days on vacation. That's why it's been dormant here and in the comments. I'm dealing with a bit of jet lag too, but give me a coupla days over the weekend and I'll be back in bloggin' shape!

In the meantime, I have some sweet obsessions I'd like to share, today and tomorrow on Today :-). Yep, I'm hangin' with The Today show crew tomorrow (Saturday) morning for some holiday sweet talk! I have a few desserts to share along with the recipes and some tips on making them super simple. Catch me in the 8AM hour on the east coast. Until then, my current sweet obsessions ...OOOOOHHHH ... Bean paste neva tasted so yummy!
AHHHHHHH ... Flavors galore!!
OHHHHHHHH! Nutella! I'm headed to the city for the required rehearsal for The Today show, then the treadmill! See ya on The Today show tomorrow! Happy Holidays and eating!!

Oh goodness gracious! I was doing fine until you posted that last one with Nutella. That's what did me in...

I'll definitely set the DVR to check you out on the Today show! I hope to be sleeping at that time! :)

I hope you had a nice vacation - I figured you were away since it's been so quiet! You deserve it!

Hi! I love your show and all the recipes you do. Can I ask what is the refrigerator on your show? I love it. It's out of our budget, but I would love to print out a picture of it and put in on my fridge,
thanks!

I was wondering where you were keeping yourself. <= Wow, FN gave you vaca?! Seems like a long time coming as busy as you have been with traveling and giving of yourself like you do. Glad you got some R&R; enjoy your weekend and see you back on next week!

Ok...seriously - those are three of my faves!! Those little bean paste things are SO yummy - I've had them in Chinatown before! And Nutella just leaves me speechless...That picture of the macarons makes me want to head into NYC to pick up a dozen at La Bergmote in Chelsea - sooooo good! Just set the DVR for the Today show tomorrow morning - can't wait to see what you have in store for us :-)

I'll have to check out your recipes at foodnetwork for the nutella cookie. That is really interesting. Kate is a bog fan of nutella!

Heading to Long Island for the holiday. Hope you enjoy yours! I just read your blog today to I missed you on the today show. :(

Merry Christmas!

Nutella is my first love! I teach a kids cooking class here in Oklahoma and they love making "chocolate pockets" basically puff pastries wrapped around spoonfuls of Nutella and Pecans....yummy!

Oh girl. Those pix have me regretting my attempt to give up excess processed sugar (chalk it up to a head start on new years resolution). Those sweet treats are positively mouth-watering.

PS - always had a little crush on your boy Spike...sad to see him get the boot on last night's Top Chef.

jen, that nutella thing has been ruining my daydreams for weeks! lol

becca, it's a sub zero that we rigged to look different. the glass in the door is covered with a film you can buy at home depot or online. and the lights stay on inside because we put them in there and then we covered them with tinted film to give off a nice glow. thanks so much for watching!!

charles, just a lil vacay :-)

holly, jien duy (bean paste things) are an addiciton. i am so sorry i filled your eyes with sugar :-). no i'm not ... teeheehee

bacon and butter, i haven't shared recipes for these, but i'd argue these are things i don't even want to make, part of the allure is someone else did the work and all i have to do is enjoy lol

cdm, hey!! happy new year if you see this, it was so long ago! you like how i play with amy? totally an eating chick despite her pretty little frame. love it!

somelikeitmo, thanks!! happy new year!!

maria, nutella is gonna get added to my last meal list ...

lindsey, sowwy. misery loves company eh? cuz i'm on a lil diet myself, way too much eating over the holiday. and spike is so crush-able. and worthy of it, he's a cool, nice guy. only met his chick once and she's a sweetie too.
