Pull up a chair!

Hey there! Day two is over as we continue to tape the 9th season of Cooking for Real and it was just as fun and exciting as yesterday. Well, I finally got my act together and between the action caught a snap of the newest addition to my set ...Chairs!!! Also if you look close I have a new extension to my counter for guests to lean in and have a bite! This season we decided to have some people come and hang out with me while I cook, for real :-). It looks like a bar or better yet a diner counter!!! Which reminds me ...
Teeheehee, totally showing my age. That show was so funny! Ok, then I got a picture right before we finished the last show of the day ...That's Wendy Waxman looking over her selections for the final dishes I'll plate everything on. Each time I go back to tape a new season she has a new additions to my "show cupboards". This time around I'm noticing some really pretty textured and painted bowls and plates. Can't wait for you to see them all! Ok, stick around for more stuff! Day three on the way!

I have a new rule - regardless of the 9to9, I need to check your blog on the regular. I feel like I'm so behind. Loving the new set additions and Wendy has such a great eye for the perfect dish. Fab pics from your trip and the kittens are adorable :). Looking forward to season 9 of CFR :).

Nice looking set! That purple bowl is so pretty. It reminds me of my fav dinnerware, Fiestaware, she should add some of that to the cupboards because its bright and made in WV (shameless plug for my home state). :D

I totally loved Flo. We use to say that catchphrase in elementary school, showing my age too. :D

My husband was stationed in BK from 1984 to 1986. You mentioned on your show you lived there too and knew Rosie. We lived in the government quarters right next to Rosie's. I was curious if you lived there the same time.

jen, girl you saw her in action! brilliance in motion, huh?!

lys, :-), life is crazy and meals have to get made, sometimes it's hard to check in everyday ... for all of us :-). no biggie. had fun today!

lindsey, purples and greens are my faves. so anytime wendy brings anything forward in that spectrum, I'm in love!

lisa, thanks so much! I like the addition to the set too, can't wait to put it to use.

anon, yes we did and we lived right down the street from rosie's place. I could see the front of her place from our housing. there was an officer's club on the hill just behind our house and full bird and up housing further up the hill. sound familiar? i'm excited, it was around the same time :-).

Sunny, you lived in the quarters next to ours. I wish I could remember the names of the people who lived in your building. Too much time has passed. It was a lovely place to live wasn't it? We live in Michigan now. The building next to ours was were the Top Cop lived...forgot his name also. Take care Judi Winter

One more comment. We just moved to the east side of the state and while unpacking we found the box of deckels Rosie gave me when we left Germany in the spring of 1986. I loved her gasthaus!!! And all German food. :0
